Here is the WW1 Dutch fighting knife that was also used in WW11, with an 8" double-edged blade, and it is 13.5" overall
The knife has a steel crossguard and ferrule, and a hardwood grip in which all three are stamped. It has a black leather sheath from a later date, possibly WW11 S/n 03108
