Large 1897 Bowie Knife S/n 03086

The 1897 is usually associated with the Malcberry knives by Truelove (Stuart Mitchell Snr), with this one having a 9" clipped blade, and filed spine stamped 1897, and nothing else
The knife is 14.25" overall with a brass S-shaped crossguard engraved PRD on one side and a floral design on the other, with a hardwood grip pinned onto the full tang, which is also filed, and it comes with a custom-made sheath S/n 03086
Please note there are a couple of stains on the blade
